Are you/is your child in 3rd-5th grade and would like to learn how to code? We are offering free Scratch classes to any 3rd-5th grader! Classes will take place weekly at 4-5 pm on Wednesdays via Zoom. Classes start on January 27th, ending on April 7th. Classes will be fast-paced and very hands-on yet easy for beginners to understand. At the end of the session, we will make final projects that will challenge you in your problem-solving skills. Once you have finished this course, you will be able to create games and animations in Scratch using important concepts like variables, loops, conditionals, and functions. Hope to see you there!
This class will be taught by the fabulous volunteers who ran Scratch coding this past fall. This class is open to any child in 3rd-5th grade.
Space is limited. Sign up once to be put on the email list. Please direct any questions about the program to Youth Services Librarian Allison Riendeau at firstname.lastname@example.org.
