If notes are the way to read/write music, SQL is the language of databases. SQL plays an important role in data analysis. SQL is the standard querying language for all the relational databases.

The course will introduce the concepts of SQL and will teach about joins, subqueries, expressions, and stored procedures through hands-on exercises. The course requires installing MySQL Server and Workbench on your computer. Instructions and installation assistance will be provided. View syllabus.

Additional courses available for spring 2021 are Data Analytics 101, Cybersecurity I, and Python.

Each course is designed and rendered by industry experts and benefits mid-career professionals who want to further their skill sets for better employment opportunities. Emphasis is on the use of tools for applying analytical skills in business settings. Participants should have some experience working with Excel files and be able to operate computers and install software as needed.

You will receive an invitation to the Zoom meetings prior to the first class. Certificates of completion will be awarded at the end of each course.
