Welcoming Pollinators

Thursday April 27, 2023
6:30 PM

Join Naturalist and Landscaper John Root and learn a variety of ways to "Welcome Pollinators" into your garden.  John will describe the essential roles played by pollinators in our ecosystem and offer guidance on providing them with habitat throughout their life cycles. Native plants that nourish pollinators are illustrated, and organic methods for establishing pollinator gardens, wildflower meadows, and other pollinator habitat are also presented. Comments and questions are welcome throughout the program.

John Root is a Certified Organic Landscaping Professional and holds a Master’s Degree in Botany.  Mr. Root presents gardening and nature interpretation programs throughout New England.  He leads edible wild plants walks throughout Massachusetts and is an organizer with Western Mass Pollinator Networks promoting the establishment of pollinator habitat on public and private land.
