Ella Waters Concert Series: Classical Guitarist Francesco BaroneSaturday November 30, 2019
2:00 PM until 3:30 PM
Francesco Barone will present a recital of guitar music from Eastern and Western Europe. The first half of the program will feature the music of Western Europe, including Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Tarentella as well as lute suite by Johann Sebastian Bach, whose works are known to represent the regional styles Italy, France and Germany. The second half will include music of Eastern Europe, including the Ballads Suite by Russian composer Nikita Koshkin. Seating is limited, so reservations are required starting November 2, online or at the library’s Reference Desk at 860-652-7720.
The music series is presented by the Friends of Welles-Turner Memorial Library and Welles-Turner Memorial Library in memory of Isabella Waters, who was a generous library supporter.
