Healing a Wounded World, Healing Ourselves: Vital Environmental Literature

Our World is wounded, deeply imperiled. Droughts transform California and Arizona into dustbowls. Melting glaciers denude Alaska. Wildfires devastate Australia and the American West. Perhaps worst of all, we are alienated from ourselves and our natural home. How have we gotten here? What can we do to help? How can we re-connect with the natural world? Author and lecturer Abby Mendelson will discuss  eight outstanding authors – in poetry, prose, memoir – who desperately search for answers – as well as themselves. REGISTER BELOW FOR ENTIRE SERIES. June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, 2022.
