*Participants who attend all five positive psychology workshops will receive an official training certificate from the library. Participants who attended Laura’s previous positive psychology workshops are encouraged to attend this series of workshops since new information will be presented.
WORKSHOP 1: ‘Positive Goal Setting’; 1/17/23, 7-8:30 pm, Meeting Room A
Via lectures, small group discussions, and handouts, the positive psychology components will be covered in detail along with the processes of: 1) identifying, accepting change 2) letting go of the old 3) prioritizing values to identify goals 4) analyzing self, the environment and life ‘as it is vs. as it could be’ 5) committing to action. During the workshop, participants will receive/complete positive psychology goal setting worksheets.
WORKSHOP 2: ‘Positive Relationships’; 2/28/23, 7-8:30 pm, Meeting Room A
Via lectures, small group discussions, and handouts, the positive psychology component of positive relationships will be covered in detail along with the processes of: 1) positive relationship self- inventory assessments 2) positive relationship theory 3) relationship priorities 4) meaningful relationships assessments 5) relationship commitment assessments. During the workshop, participants will receive/complete positive psychology relationship inventory, priorities, activities worksheets.
WORKSHOP 3: ‘Positive Values/Meaning & Positive Emotions’; 3/21/23, 7-8:30 pm, Meeting Room A
Via lectures, small group discussions, and handouts, the positive psychology components of positive values, meaning and emotions will be covered in detail along with the processes of: 1) values clarification 2) positive meanings based on values clarification 3) positive emotions identification processes 4) positive emotions activities clarification. During the workshop, participants will receive/complete positive psychology values/meaning/emotions worksheets.
WORKSHOP 4: ‘Positive Engagement & Work’’; 4/18/23, 7-8:30 pm, Meeting Room A
Via lectures, small group discussions, and handouts, the positive psychology components of positive engagement and work will be covered in detail along with the processes of: 1) exploring positive
engagement activities 2) letting go of negative engagement activities 3) experiencing the ‘flow’ 4) pursuing work that is fulfilling, satisfying, joyful, and ‘flowing’. During the workshop, participants will receive/complete positive psychology exploration, activities, flow, engagement worksheets.
WORKSHOP 5: ‘Positive Leisure Activities & Spirituality’; 5/16/23, 7-8:30 pm, Meeting Room A
Via lectures, small group discussions, and handouts, the positive psychology components of positive leisure activities and spirituality will be covered in detail along with the processes of: 1) leisure activity assessment, identification, pursuit via PERMA-V standards 2) spirituality assessment, identification, pursuit via PERMA-V standards. During the workshop, participants will receive/complete positive psychology leisure activities and spirituality worksheets.
