Tom Powers and James Wudarczyk will discuss the Lawrenceville Historical Society's new book, The Allegheny Arsenal Handbook. This book traces the history of Pittsburgh's prominent military facility from 1814 through the present.  A PowerPoint presentation will highlight some events in the life of the institution. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

Tom Powers is the president of the Lawrenceville Historical Society and editor of its newsletter.  In addition to coauthoring The Allegheny Arsenal Handbook, he is the editor and principal author of Portrait of an American Community--O'Hara Township, PA.  Tom has also contributed articles to various publications and presented lectures on a variety of historic subjects.

Jim Wudarczyk is a researcher for the Lawrenceville Historical Society.  He is the author or coauthor of 13 books and has contributed 400 articles and reviews to various historical societies and other publications.  Jim is also a frequent lecturer and tour guide for a variety of historical societies, Civil War Round Tables, and genealogical societies.
