An Introduction to Pittsburgh Modernism
please note this is the correct date for this program...it was rescheduled from an earlier date.

Brittany Reilly, founder of the Pittsburgh Modern Committee of Preservation Pittsburgh, will present an introduction to modern architecture, public art, and design sites completed in and around Pittsburgh throughout the second half of the 20th-century, during a complex time of transformation and change.  In our City of Neighborhoods there is much more to explore in addition to Downtown's Golden Triangle, pinnacle of the arrival of modernism to Steel City.

Brittany Reilly joined the Board of Directors of Preservation Pittsburgh in 2018 to contribute toward the appreciation and stewardship of our region's historic architectural and cultural resources.  She is the founder and chair of the Pittsburgh Modern Committee, focusing on mid-late 20th-century modern and postmodern architecture, public art and design. Brittany is the Executive Director of the Irving & Aaronel deRoy Gruber Foundation, curating a collection of sculptures and artwork by Pittsburgh artist Aaronel deRoy Gruber (1918-2011).
