Museum Passes

Please note the following:

You need a valid SAILS library card to reserve a pass.

You must sign a Museum & Park Pass Rules Acceptance Form at the library before you may borrow a pass.

You must be 12 or older to reserve and borrow a museum pass.  Minors and their parents or guardians must sign an Acceptance Form at the library.

The library card used to make the reservation must be the same library card used to borrow the pass. Bring the card with you to the library.

Please pick up the pass the day before you are going to use it. Southworth passes reserved for Sunday or Monday must be picked up on Saturday. North Branch passes reserved for Saturday can be picked up on Thursday or Saturday since we are closed on Friday.

The pass must be returned to the Circulation Desk of the library branch it was borrowed from - never to a bookdrop.

We strongly recommend that you check the website of a park or museum in order to plan your visit.

Reserve your pass by making a reservation in the library's online reservation system.  Your email confirmation will serve as your pass.  The pass is only good for the date printed on the pass, and you must bring the email confirmation with you when you visit the Museum of Science in Boston. If you cannot print out your pass at home, you must go the the library to have it printed out for you.

This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free. You do not need to call ahead to reserve a timed ticket. 

1. Your pass can only be used on the date printed on the pass.
2. Please bring your library pass confirmation when you visit.
3. Stop at the Box Office when you arrive at the Museum to exchange your library pass and purchase your Exhibit Halls passes at the discounted rate.
