Chelsea Public Library
Museum Passes
  • Reserve a pass for the day it will be used.
  • One pass per family per day is allowed.
  • You must have a Chelsea Public Library or MBLN library card to borrow passes. You can sign up for a card with a valid photo ID and address confirmation.
  • Returnable passes must be returned to the Chelsea Public Library before 12 PM on the next day that the library is open. Passes may not be left in overnight book drops, so please check the Library's hours to make sure you return the pass while we are open.
  • Returnable passes are assessed a late fee of $5 per day and a replacement fee of $25.00.

After receiving a library discount pass, you must reserve a visit online with Boston Children’s Museum. Due to safety measures, walk-ins are not allowed. Museum capacity is limited at this time. Passes are not accepted on Sunday afternoons because admission is $1 at that time.

  1. Patrons must first acquire a dated library discount pass.
  2. Then visit https://www.bostonchildrensmuseum.org/ticketing
  3. Review the directions for timed tickets
  4. Click on the "Discount Programs" & drop down arrow
  5. Click on "Half Price Library Timed Ticket " to book
  6. NEW - Online reservations are required to visit PlaySpace.
  7. The date on the library discount pass must match the date of your visit.
  8. After arriving at the Museum, proceed to the admissions scanning station with your online reservation and the date specific library discount pass. If you have questions about the online ordering system, contact Orders@BostonChildrensMuseum.org.

This e-ticket is valid only for one day. You can either print it out and take it with you or display the pass on your phone or device. Either way, please be sure that the pass barcode is visible.

   

Two-for-one ferry passes, each valid for up to four people for trips to Georges Island Thursday through Sunday, May 20-June 11, and to Georges Island or Spectacle Island Monday through Friday only from June 15- September 4. and Spectacle Island only on Friday through Sunday from September 7-October 9.

Each coupon admits up to 4 visitors for free. At least 1 visitor in each party must be a MA resident. Pass must be surrendered at the museum. The pass is non-transferable and may not be combined with other offers. Closed on New Year's Day,  Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas.

Pass may be used at the Harvard Museum of Natural History, the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, the Harvard Museum of the Near East, or the Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments.

Harvard Museum of Natural History &t he Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology are open daily from 9am-5pm. Harvard Museum of the Near East & the Collection of Historical Scientific Instruments are open Sunday-Friday from 11am-4pm and closed on Saturdays.

 

Each pass provides up to four (4) people with $5 admission per person. Children under the age of 18 are always admitted for free. This is a coupon pass that must be picked up at the library. In addition to presenting this coupon at the Museum, you must reserve your discounted tickets online:

3. Select the visit date and a time to enter.

This pass is a vehicle hang tag. Free parking for 1 vehicle at state park facilities that charge a parking fee; Must call to reserve pass. Pass may be picked up one day prior to the reservation and must be returned within 2 days after.

Pass is for 2 adults for general admission or 2 adults and 4 children (ages 4-17) for special exhibitions for discounted $10 admission. Pass can not be combined with any other offers.

Museum is open to vistors 10am-5pm Thursday-Monday, and also closed Jan. 1, Patriots Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, Dec. 25. Visit https://www.mfa.org/visit for more information. Beginning March 18, the museum is open until 10pm on Fridays.
