Museum Passes

Welcome to the museum & park pass reservation system for the Dartmouth Public Libraries. The Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries purchase the majority of the library passes, and passes are now available at both the Southworth and the North Branch libraries.

We strongly recommend that you check the website of a park or museum in order to plan your visit.  The hours and accessability for many museums have changed due to the impact of the COVID pandemic.

  • You need a valid library card from a certified library to reserve a pass.
  • You must sign a Museum & Park Pass Policy Acceptance form before you may borrow a pass.
  • You must be 12 or older to reserve and borrow a museum pass.  Minors and their parents or guardians must sign a Museum & Park Pass Policy Acceptance form at the library.
  • The library card used to make the reservation must be brought to the library and used to borrow the pass.
  • Please pick up the pass the day before you are going to use it. Passes reserved for Sunday or Monday must be picked up on Saturday. North Branch passes reserved for Saturday can be picked up on Thursday or Saturday since we are closed on Friday.
  • Multiple instances of passes being reserved and not picked up or cancelled could result in a library card being blocked from the museum pass reservation system.

 With Five National Historic Landmark US Naval ships and other craft, Battleship Cove is America's Fleet Museum.  You will experience firsthand what it was like to serve on board a Navy warship in WWII and the Vietnam War era.  Dive into our submarine and explore a high-speed missile corvette that the Soviets designed to fight us.

The pass is a card that gives the cardholder 2 adult and 3 children admission at $3.00 each.  The pass must be returned to the circulation desk at the North Branch Library.

The Buttonwood Park Zoo issues 4 passes to the libraries which may be used on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.  Two passes are available at Southworth Library and two passes are available at the North Branch Library.

Passes are NOT accepted on Mondays or Saturdays, on major holidays, or during February and April school vacation weeks.

Each pass provides free admission for up to 4 people.
