Museum Passes

ATTENTION: When considering visiting a museum, plan ahead.
Call or email the museum to determine their reservation policy.
If the museum will accept a Library pass, reserve the pass below for the appropriate date. 
Then call the Library, 978-526-7711 to arrange pick up of the pass.

  • Choose the date you will visit the destination; click on "Request Pass" button and follow the screen prompts to reserve the pass.
  • The patron who reserved the pass may pick it up at the Library as early as the day before use
  • Patron must bring the Library card on which the pass was reserved in order to check out the pass. Passes can only be checked out to the same person who made the reservation.
  • Single use or coupon passes do NOT need to be returned.
  • Passes in pockets however, need to come back and must be returned to the Manchester-by-the-Sea Public Library by 9 AM the next day after use, regardless of the day of the week.
  • If a reserved pass 2+ days in the future cannot be used, please log in to Museum Passes and click on "My Passes" and cancel the pass.
  • For reservations less than 2 days in the future, please call the Library at 978-526-7711 to have the pass canceled.

The Cape Ann Museum is open Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Advance reservations are required.

  • Reserve your pass through this reservation system for the day you plan on visiting the museum.
  • Pick up your reserved pass at the Library.
  • Present pass to museum staff on the day of your visit.
  • Each pass allows 50% off admission for up to 5 guests.
  • Pass valid for in-person ticket sales only and for the date indicated on the pass.
  • The museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays and the museum provides passes for each day they are open, except Saturdays.

Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) is open Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Holiday Mondays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Timed tickets are required and can be reserved either online or by phone, (978) 542-1511. A Promo Code is required for discounted tickets. Call the Library, (978) 526-7711 to get the Promo Code. Once you have the code, you can schedule and purchase your tickets either online or by calling the Museum.

Phone instructions:

Call PEM reservation line, (978) 542-1511 and give the operator the promo code that you were given by Library staff. You will be assisted in scheduling your visit. 

Online instructions: 

  1. Reserve your time to visit the Museum through this program. There are no paper passes. 
  2. Go to https://www.pem.org. On the home page click on VISIT or direct access via https://my.pem.org/events. In the PROMO CODE box, type in the code given you by the Library. 
  3. Choose one of the options on the next line; click on the day you want to go to the Museum.  
  4. On the Museum Admission page, type the number in your party in the Library Discount (limit 2) field. Click CONTINUE. 
  5. Select entry time; click add to visit. A subtotal will be calculated. Click READY TO CHECKOUT. 
  6. A PEM account is required to complete the transaction. If you already have an account, log in. If you do not, create an account. 
  7. Your payment information is required to complete the transaction.

• Pick up the ticket at the Library 24-hours prior to the day of your Museum visit.

• Pass allows free admission for up to 9 people to the USS Constitution Museum, not the Ship. 

• USS Constitution (the Ship) is owned by the United States Navy and operated separately from the Museum. Visitors 18 and older must present a valid Federal or State-issued photo ID or passport to board the Ship. The Ship is not wheelchair accessible.   • Pick up your reserved pass at the Library.
  • You must have the pass with you when you arrive at the Zoo; the Zoo does not accept email confirmations from us as a substitute. 
  • Pass is valid only during regular daytime hours. Not valid for ZooLights or Boston Lights.
  • Each Zoo New England pass admits up to 6 people at $9 per adult (age 13 &up) / $6 per child (age 2-12).
