MAP Passes are available to Poughkeepsie Public Library District library card holders * who are 18 years of age or older, have a valid email address, and have no outstanding fines. *Passes to FDR Presidential Library & Museum are available to all Mid-Hudson Library System card holders.
Book up to two (2) passes on same day to combine visits to nearby venues. These may be local places or destinations on getaway trips to the Adirondacks, Albany, Berkshires, Boston, CT coastline, Danbury or Hartford, NYC, Springfield, and Vermont.

Failure to cancel a pass you do not use may result in suspension of pass privileges.
Pass Types: Printable passes, called Print on Demand. Physical passes, called Pick up/Return.
Print on Demand passes: Reserve for day of visit and marked “Closed” when Destination is closed. Always check their hours. Print pass when reserving at home or contact the Library to print it for you after reserving pass. Take the printed pass to entrance on specific date printed on the pass.
Pick Up/Return passes: Reserve for day of pick up and marked “Closed” when Library is closed. On holidays a venue may be open, but Library closed, so reserve a day early. Check out pass (inside pouch) for three (3) days including pick-up date, day to use pass, and day to return.
When Reserving: Reserve up to 60 days in advance. Under the date, find destination and request. You’ll need library card’s barcode. Follow the prompts. You’ll receive confirmation email and a reminder email 2 days before a reservation. You may add a Text reminder. For Print on Demand passes, select “Print Pass” to print from home and bring to destination on date printed on pass.
Cancelling a Pass Reservation: Use “My Passes” button by logging in with library card barcode, and clicking on pass to cancel, or call the Library. If reservation is in 24 hours or less, “My Passes” directs you to call the Library to cancel for you. Failure to cancel a pass, so that others may use it, may result in a suspension of reservation privileges.

Restrictions: Backpacks and large bags are not allowed in museum unless needed for a medical reason. Food or beverages may only be consumed on the public concourse or any of the on-site restaurants, but are not allowed in the museum’s exhibits. To shoot hoops on Center Court (if available), must be wearing appropriate footwear, and staff will provide your group with a sanitized basketball.

Grounds Only Pass: Enjoy the stunning Berkshire mountain views, formal gardens, Woodland Walk, climb the Ledges Trail, and picnic on tables in the former apple orchard. The outdoor contemporary sculpture exhibition opens May 27th. The Grounds Only ticket does not allow entry into the Studio or permanent collections at the Barn Gallery.

In addition to seven exhibitions each year, they offer Art Studio Everyday Projects and provide materials, and several short film screenings daily of animated new and classic picture books or family documentaries about picture book illustrators. They also have daily storytimes, a 6,000+ picture book reading library, and offer performances and events. They do not have a restaurant, but they have a cafe with Berkshire Naturals vending machines stocked with healthy snacks, water fountain, and they allow you to bring in food at their cafe or picnic areas. There is a nearby market for picnic supplies, Atkins Farms Country Market. Â

Fall Wee Faerie Village October Event: Held annually during October, all visitors age 12 and over, including those with a Library Pass, pay a $5 fee, or surcharge, for the fund-raising exhibit, whether viewing the faerie houses or not. Children 12 and under admitted free, due to grant.

Guided Mansion Tours weekends May-Oct with Library Pass. Gardens & Grounds & Visitor Center open in April, 10 am -5 pm, and no library pass is needed.
Admits: 2 adults and up to 4 children, 18 years and under, to Guided Mansion Tours. Display your printed PPLD Locust Grove Pass at the Museum Gift Shop in the Visitor Center to check-in. If your family is larger than what the pass admits, admission is $15 per person. Masks must be worn inside buildings and when you cannot socially distance outdoors. Note Access: While the pass does not provide admission to Mohonk Mountain House or Minnewaska State Park, you may hike on to either property approximately six miles from the Preserve’s trails, but you may not enter the hotel or use facilities.
Parking: Limited, restricted, and on peak summer/fall weekends will fill up early. Car-pooling and use of long-term parking lots at Preserve’s Visitor Center and at West Trapps parking lot, located ½ mile and 1½ mile respectively from the intersection of Routes 299 and 44/55, are suggested. Parking lots are locked after sunset and park closes at sunset.
Required: All pass holders present the Library Pass M-F 9 am – 5 pm (weekends 8 am -6 pm) at the Visitor Center or Trailheads to receive a day-use wristband in order to access the Preserve. Read both sides of the Mohonk Preserve pass, and note Risk Waiver on back.

Low-heeled, non-slip walking shoes and casual dress; to use facilities at shore-side restroom as no restrooms on ship; and sunscreen is advised. Food, beverages, candy, gum or tobacco products are not permitted on ship. Water is only refreshment at the museum. Large bags and strollers are not permitted on the ship. In addition to seven exhibitions each year, they offer Art Studio Everyday Projects and provide materials, and several short film screenings daily of animated new and classic picture books or family documentaries about picture book illustrators. They also have daily storytimes, a 6,000+ picture book reading library, and offer performances and events. They do not have a restaurant, but they have a cafe with Berkshire Naturals vending machines stocked with healthy snacks, water fountain, and they allow you to bring in food at their cafe or picnic areas. There is a nearby market for picnic supplies, Atkins Farms Country Market. Â

Admits: A family, defined as up to 5 people, to enter for the Roosevelt Presidential Museum and Library ONLY if you print the pass using the button Print FDR Pass at top of pass reservation to print the FDR's Public Library Guest Pass when either making the pass reservation OR from your emailed pass confirmation by clicking on “VIEW PASS INFO." Complete filling out pass for same date as the pass reservation. Surrender the pass at the ticket counter of the Wallace Visitor Center, and the pass bearer must show an ID. Masks are required indoors.

Fall Wee Faerie Village October Event: Held annually during October, all visitors age 12 and over, including those with a Library Pass, pay a $5 fee, or surcharge, for the fund-raising exhibit, whether viewing the faerie houses or not. Children 12 and under admitted free, due to grant.
Hours: Open Tuesdays – Sunday, 10 AM - 5 PM, April - December, and 10 AM - 4 PM, January - March. Last entry is one hour before closing. Cafe Flo hours 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM, May - October.

Restrictions: As this is a working farm, no pets are allowed on the grounds. Service dogs welcomed. No tripods in historic buildings. Commercial photography requires advance permission.
Accessibility: Wheelchair use is free and reserved by calling 413-443-0188 x 100. The Visitor Center, restrooms, galleries, store, cafe, and all meeting spaces are wheelchair accessible. Compact-dirt pathways and boardwalks throughout the Village provide access to the gardens and grounds, as well as the mile-long Farm & Forest Trail, which has interpretive signage. Some historic buildings are wheelchair accessible via ramp, including the Round Stone Barn and the Trustees’ Office & Store. Keep in mind, however, that most buildings in the historic Village are NOT wheelchair accessible.

Guided Mansion Tours weekends May-Oct with Library Pass. Gardens & Grounds & Visitor Center open in April, 10 am -5 pm, and no library pass is needed.
Admits: 2 adults and up to 4 children, 18 years and under, to Guided Mansion Tours. Display your printed PPLD Locust Grove Pass at the Museum Gift Shop in the Visitor Center to check-in. If your family is larger than what the pass admits, admission is $15 per person. Masks must be worn inside buildings and when you cannot socially distance outdoors. Tours are offered first come, first served, May 1 – Oct. 31 on the weekend at: 10:15 am, 11:30 am, 12:45 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:15 pm. The Pass is not good for special events and all holiday events, which require the purchase of tickets as they are fund-raising events.
Accessibility: The Mansion does not have wheelchair access, but the gravel path to the Mansion is level. Stairs: 7 steps to front door, 17 to second floor, and 10 to ground floor.

Parking: Limited, restricted, and on peak summer/fall weekends will fill up early. Car-pooling and use of long-term parking lots at Preserve’s Visitor Center and at West Trapps parking lot, located ½ mile and 1½ mile respectively from the intersection of Routes 299 and 44/55, are suggested. Parking lots are locked after sunset and park closes at sunset.

Grounds Only Pass: Enjoy the stunning Berkshire mountain views, formal gardens, Woodland Walk, climb the Ledges Trail, and picnic on tables in the former apple orchard. The outdoor contemporary sculpture exhibition opens May 27th. The Grounds Only ticket does not allow entry into the Studio or permanent collections at the Barn Gallery.

In addition to seven exhibitions each year, they offer Art Studio Everyday Projects and provide materials, and several short film screenings daily of animated new and classic picture books or family documentaries about picture book illustrators. They also have daily storytimes, a 6,000+ picture book reading library, and offer performances and events. They do not have a restaurant, but they have a cafe with Berkshire Naturals vending machines stocked with healthy snacks, water fountain, and they allow you to bring in food at their cafe or picnic areas. There is a nearby market for picnic supplies, Atkins Farms Country Market. Â

Guided Mansion Tours weekends May-Oct with Library Pass. Gardens & Grounds & Visitor Center open in April, 10 am -5 pm, and no library pass is needed.

Admits: Two (2) Adults (age 16+), plus any children (age 15 and under) are free, with strongly recommended advanced Timed-Entry Tour Tickets you book on their website. Tours 45 min. Select either Weekday or Weekend Tickets. On Thomas Cole website, book a Timed-Entry Ticket for same date as Library Pass, select the hour, enter up to two (2) “Member” tickets (age 16+) for free and enter number of "Children" age 15 and under for free. To ensure entry, arrive 15 minutes early to Visitor Center to check in with Library Pass (printed or digital display on mobile phone). Do not be late, or may forfeit reservation. YOU MUST ALSO MAKE A TIMED ENTRY RESERVATION to visit the Trevor Zoo on their website at WWW.TREVORZOO.ORG. for the same date as the library pass. You may arrive either 60 minutes before or after your reservation, as noted on their website, and stay as long as you wish. Your PPLD library pass will be your admission ticket. If your group is larger than the pass admits limit, note that admission cost is collected when you arrive for people not included in the Library Pass. Entrance to the Ship is free and has a required state or federal government issued photo ID, or a passport, for ages 18+, as well as an inspection and restrictions (see website for details & security checks similar to an airport).

Admits: 2 adults and 2 children for a tour of the USS Slater. You may book a reservation by calling (518) 431–1943, or check on tour times. Reservations not required. Tours given rain or shine, leave about every 30 minutes, and last 60 minutes. Low-heeled, non-slip walking shoes and casual dress; to use facilities at shore-side restroom as no restrooms on ship; and sunscreen is advised. Food, beverages, candy, gum or tobacco products are not permitted on ship. Water is only refreshment at the museum. Large bags and strollers are not permitted on the ship. Nature Museum open Tues.-Sun. Grounds & Trails open 24/7. Trail Maps to 40 miles of trails on website, includes the largest lake in CT. Picnic areas available.
Admits: Entry to Nature Museum for 2 adults and up to 4 children (12 and under). There is free access to the 40 miles of trails within the 4,000 acres of the White Memorial Foundation that include the Education Center grounds, forests, 60 miles of Bantam Lake's shoreline, boat launch, swimming areas, river, wetlands, and ponds. Trail maps on website. Nature Museum is open Tues. - Sun. Hours will vary. Winter: Tues - Sat. 10 am to 4:30 pm, and starting April 1st: 9 am - 5 pm. Sundays Winter: Noon - 4:30, and Sundays starting April 1st: Noon-5 pm. Closed Mondays.

Admits: Four youth (ages 5 – 17) for free, plus children 4 and under for free, and two adults for discounted cost of $10 each to pay on-site with Library Pass no reservation. Children do not have to be related to adult pass users. Do not use their online ticketing. At the entrance show the Library Pass. New 2023 is "Birdly," which gives the immersive experience of what it is like to fly like a bird, and costs $6 per person as an additional ticket at entrance, with 48 inch height limit. See website under "Inside" for details. Indoor exhibits and Waterside Cafe are open. Some trails and the Wild Walk are ADA accessible. Picnic in designated areas by parking lot, or indoor cafe, and tent area if available. Visit their website for information on all their is to see and do, and their FAQ. Sturdy shoes and dressing for the weather are recommended. Library Pass is not good for museum shop discount. Open rain or shine, and hours vary seasonally.
