Museum Passes

YOUR LIBRARY CARD NUMBER IS REQUIRED TO MAKE A RESERVATION

Reserve a pass for the date you will visit the destination. Passes are limited to one pass per family per week. 

All passes, with the exception of the MA state parks pass, can be picked up as soon as they are reserved. The MA state parks pass can be picked up the day before your reserved date. 

Most museums are currently requiring reservations with the museum in addition to reservations for the discount passes through this site.

Please check the museums' websites for changes to hours, updates to available offerings, and restrictions due to COVID-19.

Come to the library to pick up your pass. This pass does not need to be returned to the library.

The DCR Parks Pass entitles the bearer to free parking for one passenger vehicle of visitors at over 50 facilities in the Massachusetts State Parks system that charge a day-use parking fee.

Not valid at Nahant or Nantasket Beaches. Your car must be registered in Massachusetts in order to use this pass. 

The pass may be picked up one day before your reservation. It must be returned by the time the library opens the day following your reservation.

Late fee: $5.00 per day up to $25.00 if returned late

Replacement cost: $60.00

      Multiple Destinations

Pass admits 2 adults and up to 4 children (ages 7-17) at $10 each- includes general admission and special exhibitions.
 
Advance reservations are recommended and can be made online at the museum's website: https://www.mfa.org/tickets.
 
Reservations are required for special exhibitions. 
 
A promo code will be included in your reservation confirmation which can be used to reserve your tickets with the museum.
 
If you prefer not to reserve your tickets online, bring a copy of your pass confirmation from the library with you when you visit the museum (either printed or on a mobile device). Confirmations can be printed at the library.

   

This pass will admit up to 4 people at a 50% discount on tickets to the Museum’s Exhibit Halls. Children under 3 are not included in the count of 4 and are always admitted for free. You do not need to call ahead to reserve a timed ticket. If you have questions or prefer to reserve in advance, you can call 617-723-2500 (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily).

1. Discount can only be used for the date printed on the confirmation page.
2. Please bring your library pass confirmation when you visit (printed or displayed on phone.) This pass cannot be used online.
3. Stop at the Box Office when you arrive at the Museum to purchase your tickets at the discounted rate.
4. If you are not able to show your Library confirmation on a phone, please request a paper copy of your confirmation at the library.
