A Giving Tree: Ornament Exchange
This season we welcome you to reflect on what you might need this year, and what you may have to spare for someone else. This year’s tree exchange will allow you to craft or bring a used ornament of intention. Whether that intention be for someone’s increase of “peace”, “love”, “prosperity, “joy”, “laughter” or “mirth”. And in exchange you are welcome to remove one ornament (for each you’ve brought) symbolizing the changes you wish to manifest in your life and bring that ornament into your home. Let’s trim the tree with boughs of holly and happiness this holiday season. For details ask Brian at reference or at bstory@actonlibrary.org Free to participate, no registration required. You can participate at any time while the tree is up (just ask for craft supplies or bring in your old ornaments)
Also, Please Join Us on 12/20 at 5:30 pm for a Winter Solstice celebration and ornament exchange reception. Free and open to all ages.

Join Ryan and us for a light reception during our Giving Tree Ornament Exchange
A lifelong cellist, Ryan Mitten has a unique perspective and style. He plays what you might expect to hear played on a cello (think: Bach and Mozart), but encourages his audience to think bigger. He transports listeners to Hogwarts with the Harry Potter soundtrack then sends them to a galaxy far, far away with recognizable Star Wars repertoire. No two performances are alike as Ryan takes great care in catering to his audience. Music lovers of any age will appreciate his versatility, and do take advantage of his routine offer after for “any requests” (and improvisational skills on the cello).
Ryan Mitten is a cellist and special education professor who also plays mandolin, guitar, banjo and piano. He is a member of the Pleasantville based folk band Nannyhagan Creek, the Skunk Misery Ramblers and a mandolin strumming Living History Interpreter at the Mark Twain House and Museum.
Free and open to all ages. Light refreshments will be served
