(VIRTUAL) JOB SEARCH HELP -- Find Your Next Job With The BRIDGE Method

In addition to those out of work, at any given time, 50 percent of the work force is seeking a new job, or considering a career change. To combat the increased competition for every opening, Career-Life Coach Dawn Quesnel, developed the B.R.I.D.G.E. methodology, a job search method featured on the news, ABC, WBZTV, Fox, and published by SelfGrowth.com "101 Great Ways to Enhance Your Career". B.R.I.D.G.E is an acronym for the time-tested, six-step job search process with a 15-year track record of success that I have used to lead hundreds of job seekers to jobs and careers they love. Led by Dawn Quesnel, CPCC, of CoachDQ.com. Quesnel specializes in job search, job changes, raises and promotions. She’s an award-winning career coach & recruiter, and a professionally certified coach. As a former executive recruiter and radio show host, she has produced and hosted more than 175 radio shows, and has conducted more than 4,000 interviews (casting, recruiting and radio combined). She is a frequent emcee for educational career days and job search group facilitator.

Page Turners Book Club

Join Page Turners Book Club for an IN-PERSON discussion of Mr Dickens and His Carol by Samantha Silva

Book Cover for Mr. Dickens and His CarolA beloved, irresistible novel that reimagines the story behind Charles Dickens' Christmas classic

Charles Dickens is not feeling the Christmas spirit. His newest book is an utter flop, the critics have turned against him, relatives near and far hound him for money. While his wife plans a lavish holiday party for their ever-expanding family and circle of friends, Dickens has visions of the poor house. But when his publishers try to blackmail him into writing a Christmas book to save them all from financial ruin, he refuses. And a serious bout of writer's block sets in.
Frazzled and filled with self-doubt, Dickens seeks solace in his great palace of thinking, the city of London itself. On one of his long night walks, in a once-beloved square, he meets the mysterious Eleanor Lovejoy, who might be just the muse he needs. As Dickens' deadlines close in, Eleanor propels him on a Scrooge-like journey that tests everything he believes about generosity, friendship, ambition, and love. The story he writes will change Christmas forever.

Pre-registration is required - Waitlist available

Meeting location: Amesbury Room

NOTE: Participants will be notified when the book is available at the library to check out upon completion of registration.

(VIRTUAL) Chaco & Aztec: The Center of the World

Chaco Cultural National Historical Park and Aztec Ruins National Monument preserve major centers of Ancestral Pueblo culture, dating between 850 and 1250CE.  Today Chaco Canyon seems to be in the middle of nowhere; however1,000 years ago, this was the Center Place for the American Pueblo people, the middle of everything!  Buried for hundreds of years under wind-blown sands, the monumental complexes they constructed were occupied for several centuries and ultimately left behind whisper echoes from the past of a complex and sophisticated society continued by their decedents today.

This program will be presented by a National Park Ranger via Zoom.  Registration is required and will open on January 1.

Presented in partnership with Rockport Public Library.
