Soul Narrative Writing with Erin Hunter

Please join us for our new, twice-monthly writing group lead by Erin Hunter. This group will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month.

These workshops are designed to create a relaxed and open space for writers to write. To craft stories in their own voice without fear of judgement around style, syntax, or other parameters that could interfere with the content of the story itself. I work to help writers silence their inner critic and speak from a place of raw honesty.

Words Inform Images Art Club for 5th-12th Grades!
6:00 PM - 7:15 PM

Youth in 5th-12th grades are welcome to join us for the Words Inform Images Art Club!  If you love art, books and the written word this club is for you!

One evening each month we will following along with a new session of the Creativebug tutorial Words Inform Images and create art that is inspired by words! Here is the formal description from Creativebug:

"A picture is worth a thousand words but words themselves are priceless. In this unique practice, multimedia artist and educator e bond explores the various ways that reading and writing can intersect with visual art and how one medium can inform the other. She’ll share some of her favorite fiction, non-fiction, poetry and music to generate interest points from which to play and experiment. See how these sparks can fuel visual art through collage, mark-making, and doodling, and how these visual observations alter your perception of the page."

Participants will watch a short video and then get creating based on the video's prompt.  Materials will be provided.  Please register for each session you plan to attend, we hope to see many of the same faces each month to see how each artist grows through the process!

*Participants do not need to be "good at art" to attend! All skill levels are welcome!

Registration is required so we have enough materials!

Drop-ins welcome, but please register at least the first time you attend, in order to get your name on our mailing list!
