History comes to life as third-grade students from Willett Elementary School portray historical figures from Massachusetts history via a Living Wax Museum format. They will also share information regarding the life and achievements of these figures via presentation boards.

Have you ever thought about getting your DNA tested? Come hear from Seema Kenney, a professional genealogist with more than 20 years of experience, as she tells us about some of the different DNA tests that are available, and compares the different testing companies. Learn best practices for using your results in your own personal genealogical research from an industry professional with a certificate in Genealogical Research from BU, and is an active member of several genealogy societies.

A book group for guys! Anyone who identifies as male is welcome to attend. We will meet quarterly, either at the library or at a local establishment, to discuss excellent fiction and non-fiction titles.

WWII Nonfiction Book Group - meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 2-3pm. This month's title is The Tango War: The Struggle for the Hearts, Minds and Riches of Latin America During World War II by Mary Jo McConahay. Want to learn more about Girl Scouts before signing up? A representative from Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England will be hosting this FREE event.

Interested girls and gender-expansive youth and their families are invited to join Girl Scouts as we make new friends and keep the old! At this event, kids will come together to participate in mock troop meeting and learn all about what it means to be a Girl Scout through fun activities. While prospective Girl Scouts are having fun, adults will have the opportunity to learn about how to get their child involved through a variety of pathways including joining an existing troop, participating as an individual member, or even starting a new troop of your own!

Youth entering 5th-12th grades are welcome to join us for BINGO!!  There will be smalll prizes for the winner of each game!

During this program the group will follow along with the Creativebug tutorial "How to Make Zines" to learn how to create our own Zine! What is a Zine? It's a "a self-published, non-commercial print-work that is typically produced in small, limited batches." During the program each participant will work on making a Zine of their own. Materials will be provided, however participants may bring additional special items (photos etc.) that they may want to add to their zine. 

Please arrive to this workshop on time so that we can begin the tutorial and allow for enough time to complete your one of a kind creation!

Youth entering 5th-9th grades are welcome to join us for the Book vs. Graphic Novel Book Club! The title we will be discussing at this meeting is Coraline by Neil Gaiman! Participants will read either the graphic novel or the novel version of the book (or both if you want!) and then join us the night of the meeting to discuss! Copies of both versions of the book will be available in the children's room at the beginning of June, or put a copy on hold using your library card!

Pamela Means has won multiple Local Cultural Council grants, local agencies supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency, to tour and perform this show TWENTY-SEVEN times and counting across Massachusetts in 2023.

Pamela Means presents The Power of The Protest Song: Our Shared History & Present Day. Part-performance and mini-presentation, this family-friendly public event will explore the origin stories and lineages of protest songs, how their meanings and effects continue to transform through time and space, and how they have inspired--and continue to inspire--movements and cultural shifts within the realms of racial and social justice. In addition, Pamela will also share her own experiences with becoming an artist and using her voice. A curated assortment of original songs and select, recognizable covers will be integrated into the presentation as a powerful demonstration of how grounding, unifying, and mobilizing protest songs can be.

Kids entering grades 1-4 are invited to join us for this fun, interactive engineering progam!  Presented by Jay Mankita.  Extraordinary maker activities from paperclips, cardboard, craft sticks & other ordinary stuff!  Kids build basic structures using mechanical linkages and paperclip crankshafts to make their own mechanisms that send maessages, tell stories or accomplish tasks.

The Attleboro Community Garden is holding it's 25th Anniversary Celebration at the Attleboror Community Garden.  There will be refreshments, a guest speaker, adult workshop and children's activitites.

***This event is scheduled as an outdoor event, this reservation at the library is only in case of rain/inclement weather.***

The Attleboro Community Garden will be celebrating it's 25th Anniversary at the Community Garden.

**In case of rain, the event will be held at the library in the Marble Lobby, with children's activities in the Tech Lab.

Join us for Parents Book Club! Our books this month are All Boys Aren't Blue, by George M. Johnson, and Lawn Boy, by Jonathan Evison. Please feel free to attend even if you don't get a chance to read the book.

A book group for guys! Anyone who identifies as male is welcome to attend. We will meet quarterly, either at the library or at a local establishment, to discuss excellent fiction and non-fiction titles.
