Making YouTube Videos

Time will be given to mobile apps, desktop computer options and the tools YouTube itself provides. Accounts will not be provided for students but are available for free through Google.

Online Travel – Plan the Great Road Trip!

This class will teach students how to use many of the resources available online for travelers. Apps for navigation, roadside attractions, hotel discounts, and even parking will be demonstrated. Ways to save money as well as learning about your destination and avoiding unfortunate mistakes will be discussed. It is also a fun way to learn about using forums, online review sites, and other Web 2.0 technology for a practical purpose.

Smartphone Photography & Editing

Learn the basics of taking and editing pictures and movies with Android and iPhones. Students will learn to use free editing products to prepare their photos and movies for sharing. Cloud tools offer more and more opportunities for computer users. One of the most versatile resources is cloud storage. Students will learn about the many options available to either work collaboratively with other people, keep resources available to themselves anywhere in the world, and/or provide a safety net in case of computer failure.
