This monthly program is designed for children 9 months to 3 yrs. old and their families.  There will be a period of free play with developmentally appropriate activities including a simple craft followed by stories and songs based on a theme.  Families will have an opportunity during free play to socialize with each other while their children learn skills such as sharing and taking turns.  This group also focuses on skills during circle time such as sitting in a group, listening, and following directions.  Families are provided with resources on children’s development and take-home activity ideas.

The program will be based on a variety of topics that range from Art to History to Science.  Children will participate in hands on experiments and activities based on the topic. Some Discovery Workshops have included topics such as Ellis Island (History), Andy Warhol (art), and Earth Day (science) activities. Every discovery workshop program includes a book and discussion about the topic.

Discovery Workshop

Discovery Workshops are programs for school aged children from kindergarten – 4th grade and their families. The program will be based on a variety of topics that range from Art to History to Science.  Children will participate in hands on experiments and activities based on the topic. Some Discovery Workshops have included topics such as Ellis Island (History), Andy Warhol (art), and Earth Day (science) activities. Every discovery workshop program includes a book and discussion about the topic.
