The library welcomes the award-winning Delvena Theatre Company for the original mystery play, Murder a la Carte! There’s been a murder at Luigi’s Italian Ristorante. Can you figure out whodunit? The audience is invited to join in and help solve the mystery in this fun, interactive production, recommended for adults.
This production is a racy, interactive, murder mystery. Luigi’s Fictional Ristorante is about to serve up some spicy experiences and one character winds up with the cold plate on a marble slab. The show features Lynne Moulton, Joseph Zamparelli, and Fran Baron in multiple roles. Come put your “super sleuth” on – having much fun along the way. The Delvena Theatre Company wishes to inform you that this program is for ages 20+. The content is not suitable for a younger audience.
The Delvena Theatre Company has performed at the Canton Public Library to rave reviews and happy audiences. We are thrilled to welcome them back for another show.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Canton Public Library and is supported in part by a grant from the Canton Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

We are thrilled to be chatting with authors Isabel Cañas, Romina Garber, Priscilla Oliveras, and Caridad Piñeiro about their journeys to becoming published (and fabulous!) authors, keeping in mind their diverse Latinx backgrounds. Whether they were born in the US or elsewhere, we wonder how their heritage has influenced their writing, characters, publishing journey, and fan base. It's sure to be a fascinating conversation!

Two kindred spirits joined by their love for acoustic music that touches the heart, G Rockwell and Micah Nicol marry virtuosic instrumentals and tender vocals in their project Bookmatch. Named after the practice of aligning two pieces of wood so that they look like mirror images of each other, Bookmatch's members approach the same genre and instruments from a different background yielding musical alchemy that brings audiences in for a warm hug of an intertwining acoustic guitar soundscape.
Don’t miss the mesmerizing and superbly accomplished Bookmatch.
Enjoy the relaxing, warm atmosphere of friendly people, good music, hot coffee and home baked goodies.
The Open Book Coffeehouse is located in the community room of the Canton Public Library at 786 Washington Street, Canton, and is made possible by the Friends of the Library.
Parking is to the left when facing the library from Washington Street. Enter by the "Special Events door" to the left of the columns, midway into the parking area.

The Family Roe is an engrossing family saga that confronts a half-century of propaganda and myth. Prager spent years with Norma; discovered her personal papers, a previously unseen trove; and witnessed her final moments. He also found the unknown Roe baby, Shelley Thornton, whose conception occasioned the lawsuit. Prager’s profile of Thornton for the Atlantic, adapted from the book, made worldwide front-page news. Hailed by critics on both sides of the debate, Prager’s astonishing book helps us to look with honest eyes at the five decades of struggle that brought us to where we are today.
Joshua Prager has written for the Atlantic, Vanity Fair, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. A former Nieman Fellow at Harvard, he is the author of The Echoing Green, a Washington Post Best Book of the Year.
We are delighted to welcome Tiziana Dearing, host of Radio Boston, as our moderator.

Have a good time and play some strategy board games. Learn, teach and have fun.
You do not need to own any games to take part, group members will bring their own games along for the group to play; this allows people to try many different games to find which ones they enjoy. The library will have games available for people to use.
This library event is being hosted by volunteers and we could use some more help. If you would like to help host the club with us, please contact outreach librarian Carolyn Elkort at celkort@ocln.org

Cobb, Ph.D. is Chair and Associate Professor of Government at Suffolk University.
