Stop by the children's story hour room on Thursday afternoon to build with Legos, Kapla blocks, dominoes and more! No registration is required. Open to ages 3-6 with an adult caregiver.

Music educator, Brad Peterson will lead children in a variety of musical activities including finger plays, nursery rhymes, poems, songs, circle games, dances and stories for children ages 2-6 with an adult caregiver. Each session is a fun, fast paced lesson designed to help children with pitch matching and steady beat skills, as well as helping them with their early language arts development. Stop by the children's story hour room to build with our extensive Lego collection. This is a self-guided program for children ages 3-9 with an adult caregiver.

Al deCant, songwriter, performer, storyteller and former elementary school principal brings his movement and music program to the Newtown Community Center. Al combines his love of music with his knowledge of child development in an interactive musical experience that promotes social, physical, emotional and cognitive development in young children. Children must be at least 2 years old and accompanied by an adult caregiver. Space is limited. Registration is required. This free program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Thanks to the Community Center for providing the space.
