Needle Felting With Katie Stevenson
4:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Experience the joy of needle felting!

Needle felting is the art and craft of transforming wool into an object using a special needle that has tiny barbs on the end. The wool fibers tangle together, making the felt. The work surface is a foam block which keeps the wool in place as you stab the fibers.

There are various techniques to create both flat and 3-dimensional projects such as bookmarks, appliqués, "paintings" and small sculpted items that could be ornaments or pins. Animals and figures are favorite subjects. Join us as we enjoy creating with Katie Stevenson!

This program is open to teens and adults. Space is limited. Registration is required. This program is brought to you by the generous funding of the Friends of C.H. Booth Library.

Carm's Kids Book Club
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM

Join us for July's meeting of Carm's Kids Book Club, a version of our Carm's Classics Club made just for kids ages 6 - 12! This meeting we go on a mystical journey with Lloyd Alexander's The Book of Three!

Taran is bored with his Assistant Pig-Keeper duties, even though his charge is none other than Hen Wen, Prydain's only oracular pig. He'd rather be doing something more heroic, like making swords and learning to use them. But when Hen Wen escapes and Taran goes after her, he finds himself farther from home than he's ever been. Soon he begins to realize that heroism is no easy task. With the dreaded Horned King on the loose and King Arawn gathering the forces of evil, Taran must look past his own dreams to warn the population of Prydain -- before it's too late.

Carm's Kids Book Club is open to kids ages 6 - 12 and their parents. All participants will receive a copy of The Book of Three that they may keep. Copies are available for pickup at the Young Adult desk for participants. This is a hybrid program. You can join us in person or virtually through Zoom.

Space is limited. Registration is required to receive a copy of the book and the Zoom link. This program is brought to you by the generous funding of the Friends of C.H. Booth Library.
