Halloween Take & Make Craft @ Knightsville

Drop in to the Knightsville Branch during the month of October and pick up a craft kit to make a Halloween window watcher!  Each kit contains materials to make either a pumpkin or a bat to put in your window at home.  All ages.  No registration required.  While supplies last.

ONLINE PROGRAM: Rooster Games Book Club
4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Kids in Grades 3 to 5 are invited to join The Rooster Games Book Club - Virtual Edition, live on Zoom. Each month we'll explore four books from the 2022 RI Children's Book Award nominee list. Plan on reading at least one book in advance and join in the discussion. In October we'll consider "Overcoming Hard Times" with Feed Your Mind: A story of August Wilson by Jen Bryant, A Place Inside of Me: a poem to heal the heart by Zetta Elliott, Were I Not a Girl by Lisa Robinson, and Willa and the Whale by Chad Morris. A limited number of copies of the books will be available for checkout at the Children's Desk.

ONLINE PROGRAM: Virtual Cooking Skills Club
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Kids in Grades K-5 are invited to join Miss Edna on Zoom to learn a variety of cooking skills and some new recipes! Other family members are welcome to join the fun. Some projects may need the help of an adult. Once you've registered, pick up a kit that includes a list of ingredients that will be needed to make each week's dishes.The Zoom link will be emailed shortly after 5 pm on the day of the program.

Registration begins on September 1.

Exploring Outdoors @ Auburn

Join Martha and April from the Providence Parks Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership in Auburn's new outdoor space to explore different aspects of nature in this family program for grades K-5. We will get curious about a different item you can find in nature each week, read books and do activities to help us learn more.

In the event of inclement weather participants will be notified of cancellation via email.

Costume Party @ Hall

Want to make fun crafts that you can wear? Come to Costume Party an hour-long program intended for kids in grades K-5 to attend outdoors at the William Hall Library. We'll read stories about witches, monsters, creatures from outer space and more, then create costumes based on the characters! Registration is required, space is limited. 

In case of inclement weather, this program will be held online with kits available for pick-up at the Circulation Desk. Participants will be notified via email in case of cancellation.

CANCELLED: Family DIY @ Oak Lawn

This event has been cancelled and rescheduled to Saturday, November 6th. 

Family DIY is a make-it-yourself program for children in grades K-5 and their families. During this program children and their caregivers will be given all the materials and instructions needed to complete a craft or activity together. This program is in-person and indoors and will take place every other Saturday on 9/25, 10/9, 10/23. Registration is required, and registering will sign your child for all 3 sessions.  

Masks are required for anyone over 2 for all indoor programs.

Registration starts September 10th.
