Families facing cognitive impairment can use the session to learn how to effectively communicate with their loved ones, provide care, and navigate the healthcare system.

Little Gardeners with Ms. Rita

For little ones age 2.5 through preschool age. We'll be foraging in nature (on the library lawn), making a nature craft or other nature-inspired activity, and even planting some fall flowers or herbs and veggies in our Children's raised planting bed, along with a story and music. SEVEN week program -- register once and you're in for all 7 weeks: Thursdays, 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 10/31 and 11/7 at 3:45. Most sessions will be outside for part of the hour, unless it's too hot, too cold, or raining.

Registration begins September 12.

Sensory Exploration with STEPS TO SUCCESS Occupational Therapy

For children age 2 through 5 years old. Sensory exploration helps little ones enhance their cognitive development through exploration and play. It develops fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination skills, and promotes emotional regulation and self-expression, and also improves social skills!

Steps to Success Occupational Therapy, located in Bellerose, will present developmentally appropriate activities in a fun and enriching way. Activities are play-based.

Chair Yoga with Micheline - Hybrid

Enjoy breath work, chair and standing stretches, followed by a guided meditation led by Micheline DeBono. Participants are welcome to bring mats, blocks, etc.
