Practice your reading with Tasha! Meet Tasha, an adorable 4 year-old Maltese therapy dog who loves to listen to kids read!
The Read to A Dog program is designed to give children a stress-free environment where they can practice and enjoy reading. Reading to dogs can boost reading skills in children as well as help with emotional and social skills.

Through Me To You Puppetry invites you to join Newton and his puppet friends for some story time fun! Newton and his friends take turns reading stories and singing songs with the kids. At the end of the show, the kids are invited to say hi to Newton. Our half-hour in person show is geared to ages 3-7, but all are welcome!

Do you like books and surprises? Try the Hanson Public Library's subscription box service: Teen Book Box! Here's how it works:
1. Sign up for a Teen Book Box each month. Each box will include a new library book, treats, crafts, and more!
2. Pick up your box at the Hanson Library the first Monday of the month. Once you get home, open your surprise! You'll have to return the library book at the end of the month, but you get to keep everything else.
3. Repeat: return the book and pick up your next month's box!
Supplies are limited. Open to grades 6-12. Please fill out a form for each teen requesting a box.
Boxes will be available for pickup on Tuesday, September 6.
Please note, Teen Book Box pickups are usually onthe first Monday of the month, but due to the Labor Day holiday, September Teen Book Boxes will be available on Tuesday, September 6.
