Programming Librarian Monthly Meeting
CONTACT: Heather
Wednesday August 12, 2020

Each month we'll listen* to an audiobook and connect on FlipGrid about the things we loved, thought were weird, or whatever! You'll need a library card, the Hoopla app, and a device that you can use to listen and/or record videos with. Sign up at   https://tinyurl.com/yamgf8st   to get the link to each discussion. Young people in grades 6-12 are welcome to participate. *Don't like audio? You can totally read the print book!

How it works:

  • Sign up to participate: https://tinyurl.com/yamgf8st
  • Download and listen in the Hoopla app.
  • Share your responses in our FlipGrid group. You'll get the link after you sign up!

About Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, our August listen:

Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. . Simon's junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he's pushed out - without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he's never met.

Discussion will be active August 1 - August 30.
