“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” – Henry David Thoreau
When you connect with the more-than human world, you remember your true nature of being happy and free. When you're in nature with a Kripalu-certified Mindful Outdoor Guide, you'll learn to attune to the grounding earth energies beneath your feet, sense an unlimited spaciousness within as you practice sky gazing, feel a profound connection with the earth as you breathe with the trees, and see and hear the world from a new perspective as you practice your deer ears and owl vision!
We will practice walking meditation together on the Assabet River Rail Trail. Please register for this in-person program.
Lisa Campbell, a graduate of the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership, is a meditation and mindfulness coach and a Kripalu certified Holistic Health Teacher, grew happy and free with her beloved grandparents camping and fishing in upper Michigan and Canada. Feeling stressed by a global pandemic, she returned to nature and experienced a deep transformation through the techniques she shares in her mindful outdoor experiences. Lisa offers meditation and mindfulness classes and workshops at Synergy Wellness Center in Hudson.

Join us for some live music in the gazebo outside the Walker Building!
Frozen Corn is the Western Mass trio of Anthony Pasquarosa, Chris Carlton, and Joshua Burkett. Each of them has a sterling musical reputation, and more recordings than you can easily name, but Frozen Corn is a special kind of project. Together, the three of them perform covers of proto-bluegrass tunes, most first recorded in Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia in the late 1920s. It's related to bluegrass and old timey music, but it comes from an alternate universe. A universe in which the transportational qualities of Frozen Corn's sound cannot be overstated.
No need to register -- just come and listen with us!

Registration will begin on 9/1/22.
Put on your PJs, grab a stuffed friend, and join Ms. Kerry for a virtual storytime filled with relaxing stories, songs, and a fun craft. This month, we're reading stories all about school!
All supplies will be provided, so please pre-register for a kit in advance. Because supplies are limited, there will be one kit available per registration. If you are registering multiple children, please register each child separately in order to receive the number of kits needed. Supply kits will be available at the library starting 9/12/22.
An email with the Zoom link will be emailed to you on the day of the program. Ages 3 to 6.
Registration will begin on 9/1/22.
