Over the years the descendants of the Livingston and Kean families lovingly preserved and packed away the previous generation’s belongings in attics, basements, closets, drawers, and yes, even underneath floorboards. Combined, they tell the story of a way of life that has vanished from the Garden State. This fashionable presentation covers all the fashion dos & don’ts and how fashion has changed over three centuries. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lawrence Library.

Holistic interventions for improving Pain, Fatigue, Anxiety and Stress -- This seminar will introduce community members to Acupressure as an evidence-based practice in Physical Therapy. We will demonstrate and teach self-acupressure and discuss specific potent Acupressure points for improving pain, anxiety, nausea and chronic fatigue to decrease muscle tension and promote deep states of relaxation. Presented by Rachna Mehta, PT, DPT, CIMT, PRPC, RYT 200 from Hamilton Physical Therapy Services.
According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH), a branch of NIH, pain is the most common reason for seeking medical care. There is a rising clinical interest in Integrative medicine for non-pharmacologic treatment options as our healthcare system faces a crisis of pills and opioid use.  Acupressure is an Eastern treatment modality that is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and is based on Meridian theory and energy channels which are connected to the function of the visceral organs.
