Catherine Marenghi, author of the memoir Glad Farm (2016) and a book of poems, Breaking Bread (2020), returns to MTL for a reading/signing of her forthcoming novel, Our Good Name. A Milford native, Catherine recounted the powerful story of her childhood in Glad Farm, in a farmhouse on Prairie St without running water. With honesty and bravery, she examined her parents' relationship and their former gladiola farm, the death of her beloved brother, and her academic success at Tufts University, her journalism in the computer industry and her own public relations company. Though a work of fiction, Our Good Name draws on her research into her Italian ancestry over many generations. Catherine divides her time between Miguel San Allende in Mexico and Massachusetts.
Copies of Our Good Name will be available for purchase at the signing. More details to come as the event date approaches.
