Mother Goose on the Loose

Mother Goose on the Loose is based on an award-winning early-literacy program for children from birth to age 3 with their parents or caregivers. This program is geared specifically towards the young child and engages participants with one-on-one interaction between child and caregiver. 

Created by Mother Goose on the Loose Executive Director Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen, this innovative program is based on research which shows that children learn best through routine and repetition in a nurturing environment. Mother Goose on the Loose uses a variety of activities, such as rhymes, songs, puppets and instruments to foster speech development, motor coordination, self-confidence, and sensitivity to others.

This program is an excellent way to begin social interaction and a fantastic opportunity for parents to meet others.

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical women’s volunteer service organization dedicated to promoting historic preservation, education and patriotism.

Any woman 18 years or older may join the DAR by documenting her lineage to an ancestor, male or female, who aided the cause of American independence through military, civil or patriotic service.

If you are interested in becoming a member, the Jacob Ferree Chapter, NSDAR, is hosting a genealogy workshop on April 28 at the Moon Township Library, Sky Room, from 11 am to 1 pm.  Several volunteer genealogists will be on hand to assist you.

Mother Goose on the Loose is based on an award-winning early-literacy program for children from birth to age 3 with their parents or caregivers. This program is geared specifically towards the young child and engages participants with one-on-one interaction between child and caregiver. 

Created by Mother Goose on the Loose Executive Director Dr. Betsy Diamant-Cohen, this innovative program is based on research which shows that children learn best through routine and repetition in a nurturing environment. Mother Goose on the Loose uses a variety of activities, such as rhymes, songs, puppets and instruments to foster speech development, motor coordination, self-confidence, and sensitivity to others.

There is a growing need for a place to come together to support each other, discuss the impact of the disease, and, together, pave the way to a healthier future. Monthly meetings will be held at 6:00 p.m. on the last Tuesday of the month with a new topic being highlighted at each meeting.
