Please join us in the learning lab to work on your individual projects in the company of fellow craft enthusiasts. Materials and tools will be available including a sewing machine, iron, wool roving, embroidery threads, fabric, yarn, jewlry making tools, card making, and more.

While previous experience with techniques and use of supplies is helpful, it is not necessary! This is an opportunity to utilize maker resources, explore new skills, and work on self-directed projects in an encouraging and social environment.

Guest instructors will attend meetings on occasion to lead the group in a structured activity and to answer your crafting questions. Meetings with instructors will be noted on the calendar.

Calling all game lovers!

Join us every fourth Wednesday to play tabletop games such as Rummikub, Qwirkle, Yahtzee, Backgammon, Dominoes, Boggle, cards, and more! Collection of games provided by library but participants are welcome to bring their own to share with the group.

Adults only. Meet in Learning Lab. Registration not required but helpful for reminders. Let the games begin!

Drop-in Technology Help

Feeling frustrated with your device? Experiencing tech issues? Stop by the learning lab every second Thursday of the month during our drop-in hours to receive tech help from our Senior Services Librarian, Jane Millard. This service is intended to help patrons solve minor tech issues and provide brief demonstrations to empower patrons. Patrons can expect to spend 5-15 minutes with the librarian; first come, first served.

Examples of topics this program covers: basic navigation for smart phones, eReaders, tablets, and computers; how to use the library's digital resources; general internet usage and research.

Examples of topics this program does NOT cover: setting up a new device; fixing a broken device; entering private information for you (bank info, social security number, etc.).

Registration not required.
