Art Lecture: Andy Warhol at the Whitney Museum
NYC's Whitney Museum of American Art is planning the city’s first comprehensive Andy Warhol retrospective in nearly 30 years that promises to make you reconsider much of what you thought you understood about America’s favorite Pop artist. The celebrities, soup cans, disaster paintings and screen tests, Warhol's art presaged the era of social media and self promotion and tapped into a cultural zeitgeist that has become a commonplace reality in our era.

Thomas Germano will present a visual lecture discussing Warhol's art amongst other major Pop artists and artworks circa 1958-1970's.
