Summer Library Program (SLP) 2020: Imagine Your Story

Join us for a summer of fantasy, fairytales and mythology!  All ages are welcome to take part in this free program. There are many activities which youth (and adults)can do independently, while others can be done with a grown-up or together with family. Please email the library to sign-up (info@plumblibrary.com)or call us at 508-763-8600. You must be signed up to eligible for prizes and our star window display.  Download your Bingo Cards, Challenge Checklist and Progress Logs from the Summer Library Program page on our website. Start reading and completing challenges from June 20 through August 8.  Listening to audio books, reading to others, or being read to all count as reading!!

By participating and finishing a log, you will be eligible for prizes and end of program awards. In addition, you will also be helping us reach a goal of 100 completed logs by August 8 so we can be entered into the first ever "First Lady of the Commonwealth and Blades Summer Reading Challenge" Bruins prize drawing.

Although we will not be able to offer in-house library programs this summer, please check our Event Calendar to save the dates of all our library sponsored at-home and in the community programs!

This program is free thanks to many state and local sponsors. "Imagine Your Story"  is sponsored by the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, with additional support from the Collaborative Summer Library Program the Friends of Plumb Library, the Rochester Cultural Council, The Rochester Lions Club, Brook Realty, several RMS teachers, and many wonderful volunteers.

SLP 2020: Find Gnomeo!

Meet Gnomeo, the Plumb Library Gnome. He wants to participate in the summer reading program since he is a big fan of all things fantasy!  Every Monday* in July, he will hide somewhere close to the library in a window where you can see him from your vehicle. He will stay in this location for the whole week.  He will be in new locations on July 6*, July 13, 20 and 27.

CLUE:  *Since it's a holiday weekend, Gnomeo decided to go on errand earlier than July 6 knowing he might have to wait awhile. He really needed to take care of some town business.  So, he's hiding in a window of the building where  "taxes are paid, and licenses are madel"

Once you find him, email Ms. Lisa to be entered into a prize drawing(Youth SLP particpants only).

Check back each week for a clue to where he could be!  Even if you can't get a ride to find him, you take a guess based on the clues!
