Our Community Tiny Art Show will be displayed for the month of December this year. Please come and create a piece of art on a mini canvas. You may bring your own supplies or use the supplies the library will provide. This is not an instructional class. Many people find it helpful to bring a picture to work from during the session. Each person will be given two canvases. Showing your work in the December Art Show is not mandatory but would be appreciated. If you cannot make the art sessions you can ask staff at the Reference Desk for canvases for you to work on at home. This session is for adults only. Registration required.

Library of America (loa.org) just published An Anthology of Latino Poetry edited by Rigoberto Gonzalez. Professor John Burns from Bard College (since 2019) will lead a reading and discussion of selected poems from the anthology. Professor Burns is an educator, poet, translator, and the author of Contemporary Hispanic Poets: Cultural Production in the Global, Digital Age (Cambria Press, 2015). He has been invited to lecture, read, or present papers throughout the world, and he previously taught at Bard High School Early College Queens, Rockford University in Illinois, and Kobe College in Japan, where he served as Visiting Researcher.
