Take and Make Craft with CreativeBug: Knotted Pantry Bag

Take home a craft kit and follow along with a CreativeBug video to create a knotted pantry bag! In this class, CreativeBug Artist Coach Cobrina guides you through the process of making a cotton rope bag, perfect for storing various fruits and vegetables. You’ll learn knotting techniques, including the Half Knot, Square Knot, and Spiral, all while crafting a beautiful and practical bag that doubles as a classy decoration. This project is ideal for adding storage and a handmade decorative touch to your kitchen.

All craft materials and instructions to access CreativeBug and the video are included in the kit. Craft instructions from CreativeBug are available via instructional video only. Access to Wi-Fi and a computer or smart device is required.

This class is designed to help you draw what you see and explore ways of using your drawing skills to make your artwork “your own”. Among the topics covered will be creating a well balanced composition, perspective and incorporating mixed media in your still lifes, landscapes and portraits. You may use shading pencils, colored pencils, watercolors, sharpie pens and/or pastels for any projects you choose. (You are encouraged to bring any photos you may want to draw to class.)
Supply list provided at registration. Limit 24. Supplies: 2 #2 pencils, 12" ruler, eraser, 9" x 12" sketchpad (preferably Cascon Mixed Media 98 lb. or Strathmore Brand).

You may use shading pencils, colored pencils, watercolors, sharpie pens and/or pastels for any projects you choose. (You are encouraged to bring any photos you may want to draw to class.)

At each meeting our facilitators help us connect on the joys and challenges of motherhood and support each other through our own journey.  Each month there is a new topic and each topic focuses on moms and their needs. 1-2-3 Play With Me (ages 12-36 months)

Series meets on January 16, 23, 30, February 6, and 13.

Enjoy our great toys during play time, then have circle time with a librarian. Various early childhood experts, for example a speech therapist, will be available at each session to answer questions and provide information.

Registration is for the entire five-week series.
