During the holiday season it's easy to get caught up and forget about those in need. In this program, teens will be purchasing the specific items on the Chemo Care Package List. The list can be picked up at Reference or emailed to you. Just let Jillian know. You will have a month to purchase the items and put them in a special bag, ready to go. You will be making the Chemo Care Package at home yourself. Please hand in the Chemo Care Packages at Reference by Friday, December 9th. Donations will go to Cancercare in Deer Park. Two hours of community service will be given for this program. Register now.

Write a letter to Santa throughout the month of December and bring it our North Pole Express Mailbox. Santa’s elves come to get the letters each night and take them to Santa. Please be sure each letter includes the child’s full name and address, so that there is no mix up at the north pole! Deadline to submit is Wednesday, December 20th.

Capture the magic of the season as The Gateway stage is transformed into an ice rink for this Holiday Spectacular on Ice! This enchanting musical celebration, starring Nancy Kerrigan, brings holiday songs to life while emphasizing the artistry of figure skating. It starts at 7:00pm and runs for 2 and a half hours, including intermission. Enjoy an early dinner at Butera’s of Sayville prior to the show. Dinner will include a choice of entrees, salad, bread, dessert, soft drinks, coffee and tea.           

Celebrate the season and spread a little cheer with cupcake decorating.

Welcome to our ninth annual “Walking into a Reading Wonderland” Adult Winter Reading Program at the Seaford Public Library! We invite all adults (ages 18 and over) to participate. This program has been created to give adults some encouragement to use their library card and get ready to spend those cozy winter nights with a soft blanket, warm mug and a good book! Adults will be able to register for the reading program ONLINE. To register and to access the book review form, please go to our website: www.seafordlibrary.org and under the Adult tab on the menu bar, click on Adult Winter Reading. Once you do that, there will be two separate links for you to register and one to submit your book reviews online weekly. You are able to review as many books as you want per week. Each review submitted will automatically be entered towards the grand prizes and weekly prizes. You will also be able to register in-person and submit the books reviews at the Reference Desk.

Registration will begin on Monday, January 8th and the last day to report will be Saturday, February 24th .

Weekly raffle prizes will be gift certificates from local restaurants.
