Literacy Pittsburgh Volunteer Training
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Tutoring is one of the most popular volunteer opportunities at Literacy Pittsburgh, the region’s largest literacy organization. Literacy Pittsburgh (formerly Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council) will offer a free tutor training workshop at the Sewick-ley Public Library on Saturday, October 20 from 10 AM – 5 PM. Tutors can then select an additional 3 hour training to help an adult with reading and writing skills or English as a Second Lan-guage. No experience is necessary; tutors are matched with a student in their neighborhood and materials and support are provided. Join us in building better lives through learning!

For more information and to register for training, contact Roberta Hatcher at 412-393-7645 or rhatcher@literacypittsburgh.org.
