Super Science: Ages 3-5 with caregiver

Preschool program that pairs books with hands-on experiences to engage and interest children through active, scientific learning. While using observation and critical thinking, children and parents will explore different scientific concepts. Ages 3-5 WITH ADULT.

Online registration closes at 9:00 PM the day prior to the program. After this time, all registrations must take place via phone or in person at the circulation desk in the Children’s Department - 412-741-0937.

Freedom from Falls
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

This evidenced-based exercise program has been proven to prevent falls. The 7-week course runs from January 4 - February 22 and will include a pre and post-test, and each session will be a combination of exercises to improve balance, strength and flexibility. Practical information for making your home a safe place will also be included.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring an exercise mat or blanket. If you have any concerns about participating, please check with your health care provider. Please register. There is a $10 fee for this 7-week course. (Please note: there is no session on February 8.)

Adaptive Storytime: Preschoolers with caregiver

This program is ideal for preschool children who are differently abled, may by on the Autism Spectrum, have Sensory Processing issues, or feel overwhelmed by noises or crowds.  This inclusive program of stories, songs, activities and free play is welcoming and will adapt to your child's needs.  Directly following the program children will have the opportunity to play while parents can chat and network. Preschoolers and their Families.

Fourth Tuesday Book Group
