Civil War Footlocker Program: ACLA Spotlight

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum is one of Pittsburgh's most well known landmarks and treasures. Through personally donated artifacts and mementos, the museum offeres a unique look into American Military history by telling the stories of individuals who served our country from Civel War through present day.

The Soldiers & Sailors Footlocker Outreach Program is aimed at educating people of all ages. The presentation will focus on soldier's life during the Civil War including what they wore, the experiences they went through. Artifacts from the museum's collection will be highlighted, as well as stories about the sacrifices of local veterans.

Healthy Lifestyle Book Club Series

THOUGHT PROVOKING BOOKS TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH

Join our new book discussion offering thought provoking books to improve your health. This month’s title, How Not To Die by Michael Greger, MD and Gene Stone, reveals the groundbreaking scientific evidence behind the only diet that can prevent and reverse many of the causes of disease-related death. 

This new series will be led by Lori M. Bigi, MD MS, a Primary Care physician certified in Internal Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She has extensively studied the benefits of a predominantly whole food plant-based diet and recommends it as part of the foundation of healthcare.
