Young Gloucester Scientist's Club: Techy Turtle Relays

This month we're getting our inspiration from Kate Sampson, a NOAA Sea Turtle Stranding and Disentanglement Coordinator!

We'll be thinking critically and running mock turtle rescues using Sphero Robots @ SFL on 21 Main Street. The YGSC is a great opportunity for students to work together, meet and make friends with other Gloucester students interested in science.

This program is intended for Students in 4th through 8th grade, and Registration is required for each student attending.

This program is being held at the Library's Temporary Space @ 21 Main St. Above Mystery Train.

What is the Young Gloucester Scientist's Club:

Supported thorugh MBLC grant funding, The “Young Gloucester Scientist’s Club” is a monthly club for 4th through 8th graders.  Circulating Kits and library produced Digital Content will provide children with fun learning activities to do at home, as well as in-person family programming that introduces them to Gloucester Community members with careers across a variety of STEM fields. This program will not only allow for a hands-on approach to learning and build community connections, but it will encourage children to actively think like scientists by observing, questioning and experimenting with the world around them.
