Join us for a new cooking class meets book club series that will be hands-on and in-person for those who love to cook at home. During the class, participants will assist in creating a pre-selected dish from the chosen cookbook of the month. A series of 3 computer classes on Word and Excel. Each class is 90 minutes (about an hour of material with time for a break and questions), and basic computer skills are required (mouse and keyboard, opening and closing computers).
1. Getting Started with Word - General overview, understanding the keyboard and common functions like selecting text and capitalization. Spell check, Saving and printing.
2. Fabulous Formatting in Word - Review of the basics from "Getting Started," and a deep dive on formatting from the "home" tab, including font, paragraph, and styles.
3. Budgeting with Excel - Overview of the basics, and then a guided activity to build Bruce Wayne's annual budget using the program's math functions, autofill, and auto sum. Some formatting? (Details are still in development.)

Join us for a new cooking class meets book club series that will be hands-on and in-person for those who love to cook at home. During the class, participants will assist in creating a pre-selected dish from the chosen cookbook of the month. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to check out the selected cookbook ahead of time and to bring an accompanying dish from it to share. The main meal will be selected and shared at registration. Registration for this event is required with a limit of 10 participants.

Come learn the interesting skill of computer coding with a dedicated and highly knowledgeable groups of students. It is their goal to help teens learn to do their own computer programs and also to use that knowledge in gaining employment in the high-demand computer industry job market. The club meets the last Wednesday of the month.
