Virtual Program - Marine Litter Artist Talk with Photographer Sarah Jane Thornington
7:00 PM

Last year, photographer Sarah Jane Thornington started thinking about the sheer quantity of marine debris she was collecting on the beach and then either recycling or discarding and started to document her finds. She was aiming to pick up 1,825 pieces of plastic for the year.  After just 3 weeks, she’d more than surpassed that goal.  She'll talk about her (ongoing) project, the recycled art projects that came from it and her commitment to caring for our world.  Make sure to see Sarah’s photographs and art inspired by her recycling project: The Tide Falls in the Library’s Gallery Space July 1- 31.
