Get in your Element this September with our scavenger hunt around the library! Find the characters from the movie “Elemental” hidden in the Children’s Room and Teen Room of South Yarmouth Library OR the Children's area of West Yarmouth Library. Each will have a letter to use to unscramble. Turn in the secret message to get entered to win a prize!

For ages 5 to 18 years old

With an hour and a half to build, what will you create? The Library provides all the bricks for you to build whatever you choose. Let your imagination run wild!

Drop in anytime between 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

For ages 5 and up. Children under 10 years old must come with an adult.

Please note that the Children's Room at the South Yarmouth Library will be closed from Friday, September 22, to Thursday, September 28, while we install new shelving.

All scheduled events will still be held, and a small collection of books will be available for checkout.

This is the South Yarmouth Library Association's largest fundraiser of the year. Tickets go on sale online in late October and in person in November. Walk or take the trolly throughout the Bass River Village neighborhood, and admire historic homes all ready for the season. This year, we are back to visiting inside our hosts' homes - so, you are in for a visual treat. Special stops include St. David's Church and the United Methodist Church, as well as the Cultural Center on Old Main Street, and the Quaker Friends Meeting House on North Main Street in South Yarmouth.
