We’re turning 150!
Did you know we’re the oldest library in Allegheny County?
Come see us on the exact date of our founding 150 years ago to buy a T-shirt with one of our anniversary designs,
upgrade your Library card to our new 150th logo design, and maybe get a free gift while supplies last.
We’ll also take a walk down memory lane with the unveiling of our exhibit of Library history where you can learn where in Sewickley
we were located before our present building, who our Library is dedicated to,
how much a librarian earned in 1876, and who was The Sewickley Library Society?
We’ll have plenty of vintage photographs on display so you can see how your Library has changed and grown throughout its history.
***
Can’t make it that day? No worries.
The history display will be up for several weeks, and t-shirts and library cards will be available throughout the year.
We’re just getting started on our year-long celebration.
Happy Anniversary to SPL!
