
Sigma Gamma Rho is holding a Rhosebud roundup. Our Rhosebuds are young girls ages 8-11. Rhosebuds aims to inspire young girls by building healthy self-esteem and strong self-confidence while promoting academic excellence and civil duty. In this particular event, we will be hosting a round-up geared towards educating parents and their daughters on our Rhosebud program. Our event will be a slide show presentation with light snacks.

Library Dances is a 40 minute presentation of short contemporary dance works that include a dance poem, a dance essay, and the chapter of a dance novel. During the performances, Maureen Shea will present solo works, while dancers from Springfield College’s dance department will present Shea’s choreography, Fleur de peau. All are welcome to these free performances. Library Dances is a 40 minute presentation of short contemporary dance works that include a dance poem, a dance essay, and the chapter of a dance novel. During the performances, Maureen Shea will present solo works, while dancers from Springfield College’s dance department will present Shea’s choreography, Fleur de peau. All are welcome to these free performances. Library Dances is funded in part by the Local Cultural Councils of Hadley, South Hadley, and Springfield, local agencies funded by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

We are partnering with Girls Who Code to offer a Coding Club where you can explore different programming languages and platforms, along with the potential they have for making a positive impact on your community. You will build the skills you need to create animations, games, apps, and more using GWC's fun online tutorials and the support of the other club members!
This club is open to aspiring coders aged 13-18. Space is limited, registration is required.

In this cooking class series, folks who love to cook at home can come together to create a shared meal. Each month a different cookbook, theme, or chef will be selected as the focus. Participants can bring a dish to share based on each month's theme, but is not mandatory. Pre-registration is required. (Note: Classes with 0 or 1 registrants the day before will be canceled.)

More than 60 Massachusetts public libraries have partnered to offer the 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group program to support people fifty years and older looking for a new job, a new career direction, or a Second Act career. Take advantage of these free biweekly skill-building and networking group meetings. A new topic will be covered at each meeting. Attendance at each session is not necessary – but highly recommended! For this program we'll be discussing graphic novel of your choice! Instead of worrying about finding and reading the library-chosen book for each month’s discussion, no preparation is needed — just show up ready to talk about anything you’ve read recently (or even not so recently). You’ll connect with other readers, walk away with recommendations and new ideas, and get a chance to sing the praises of your favorite books. This club meets on the last Saturday of every month, from 1-2 pm, at the ES Branch Library. Ages 8-12.
