Family Fun that involves imagination, creativity, and free expression! Through Our Eyes is a Visual Arts Mini-Grant Program awarded to BPL through the Dupage Foundation JCS Arts, Health and Education Fund. Participants should include 3 family members (close family friend acceptable) in 3 different generations (IE, child: ages 6-19, adult: ages 20-50, and older adult family member; ages 50+). This kit includes: several passages from classic children's literature, drawing paper, speciality watercolor pencils, eraser, paint brushes and canvases for final product. The intention of this program is to show visual interpretation of a literary passage through the eyes of multiple generations. A passage is read by each partcipant and then visually interpreted and transposed onto paper/canvas for the final product. Artwork must be returned to the Youth Services at the library. these paintings will be on display in the library through the months of April and May as our Artist of the month and then returned after their showcase.
