A Memory Café is a welcoming place for people with changes in their memory and their care-partner(s) to come together. Join us at the library on the first Monday of the month, to connect with others over refreshments and an activity.
This month we will enjoy an art appreciation visit from the Bruce Museum called "Lifetime of Looking". During this program, a trained Museum Educator brings a set of images (usually centered around a theme) of pieces from the Museum’s collection and recent exhibitions. The educator will lead an open-ended discussion about the pieces and engage participants to share their reactions and thoughts.
These events are made possible thanks to the generous funding from the Friends of the C.H. Booth Library. The Memory Cafés are provided in partnership with Friends of Newtown Seniors, Kristina Lubofsky of Busy Minds Box and The Lutheran Home of Southbury.
