ONLINE PROGRAM: So You Want to Start a Small Business

Do you have a business idea but are not sure where to start? During this virtual presentation, the RI Department of State will take you through its Business Basics, a resource designed to help you understand important legal and regulatory considerations when starting your new business. From business planning to protecting your brand, we want to help you succeed. We will also explore the Business Assistant application which creates a personalized road map to help get you started.

Free and open to the public. Registration is required. Please register using the button below or contact the library for assistance. Zoom meeting details will be emailed the day before the event.

Kristen Cordeiro serves as Deputy Director of Business Services under Secretary of State Nellie M. Gorbea and works with business owners to help them navigate the sometimes complex business environment in Rhode Island. Kristen strives to make starting your business as accessible and transparent as possible, and loves to connect people with the resources they need.
