Bring in your old jeans or other damaged garment and learn two visible mending techninques!
We will go over how to use the woven embroidery technique to patch small holes and cover small stains, then we'll learn how to use pieces of denim or heavy fabric to patch bigger holes - this technique is great for knees! There will be time to work on your own project with Bri there to assist, if needed.
The demonstration for stains and holes will begin at 6:05.
The demonstration for larger holes will begin at 6:45.
No sewing experience is necessary to succeed at these two hand sewing techniques. Come for one or both demonstrations. Bring your own jeans - all other supplies will be provided!
Please bring something to work on that is NOT made of stretchy fabric.. Jeans or a button front shirt are ideal. If you don't have anything, we'll have scrap fabric you can use to practice the techniques.
